Ruby - Character
What I do now:
Character in the ‘Hungry’ play
What I do
I work as a cleaner and have done on and off for a few years. But I’ve done loads of other things too. Worked in pubs, done a bit of child minding and worked with old people. I like working independently for people like Susanna.
The biggest food challenge facing society today..
I reckon apart from poverty one of the biggest challenges, certainly for obesity, is getting people to learn to cook good nutritious food from scratch. People think they’ve got no time but you have if you plan, like my mum did during the war. Just chop up veg and leave a stew to cook for 45 mins and bung in a few pulses ( you can even put in baked beans you know) a bit of chilli maybe or a bay leaf and that’s a cheap really nice dinner. You can do this sort of stuff in the microwave, you know.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
GLASS. HALF. FULL!
Who is your favourite singer or band?
What's your favourite food?
What is the most fun thing you've done?
Go karting with my son in Torbay on hols in the 1980s – I screamed my head off.
If you had 3 wishes for yourself what would they be? - be honest!
