Question: how does the play hungry relate to science?

That’s a really good question. Really, everything relates to science. Maybe not exactly in the way you learn about science at school, but it’s definitely connected. So, like there’s the stuff about Biodiversity and how we need to make sure we keep lots of types of rice and not just breed basmati rice. That’s really scientific. Plus there’s the question about fruit sugar, or fructose, and what happens when it’s overloaded into sugary drinks. Fruit sugar is presented as ‘healthy’ because it’s natural. But when you put lots of it into drinks it can be really bad for you. So, how your body deals with fructose is science.
But everything to do with food is scientific. Cooking is like chemistry. How your body deals with food is biology. Then there’s the issue about diabetes and obesity and your health. That’s all to do with science too.
