Question: Do you think that one day we may run out of food due to the mass population

There are already nearly a billion people living without enough food in the world, so if we didn’t change anything then we definitely would run out of food as the global population grew!

There are A LOT of scientists working on how to stop that from happening, by developing new crop varieties that produce more food using less water and fertiliser, making crops and animals more resistant to pests and disease, and learning how to store food better to reduce food waste.

I don’t think we will run out of food, but I do think we need to be careful not to damage the environment any more with our farming. We certainly don’t want to cut down any more of the rainforest, so we need to work out how to grow enough food to feed everyone on the same amount of land!
