Glucose tolerance is a tem used to describe the way your body copes with sugar.
Doctors can do a glucose tolerance test to see how your body handles sugar. It involves comparing the levels of glucose in the blood before and after drinking a sugary drink.
The results of this test can help doctors to detect type 2 diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance. Impaired glucose tolerance means you body isnt coping well with sugar and this is normally one of the things that occurs before people are diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes
